We offer a wide range of enrichment activities in the Expressive Arts Faculty across the age and ability range.
Students are able to rehearse and perform in a range of groups and ensembles ever week, including Rock bands, Rock Choir, Choir, Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble and Flute Choir.
Students perform in a wide variety of venues including Chipping Sodbury Town Hall, The Parish Church of St John’s, Partner Primary Schools and The Bath Forum.
We have close links with South Gloucestershire Music Hub as well as professional music organisations such as English Touring Opera.
An application form for music lessons is available from the music department.
We offer a Drama club which meets weekly after school on Mondays and which gives an annual performance – whether that be a play, musical or performances of ongoing student work. Students also perform in the community at events such as the annual Big Lunch.
The CSS Dance Crew is a very popular group who meet weekly on Wednesdays after school and perform regularly. Their current performance highlight was entertaining at half time at a recent Bristol Rovers match.
We celebrate the achievements and talents of our students in numerous ways – Expressive Arts Stars, Curriculum Awards at CoA in July and individual awards at our annual Arts Awards evening each summer.
We are an enthusiastic team who are committed to ensuring that every student reaches their potential. If we don’t offer an activity which a young person might be interested in – then please do just ask!
